So not even disaster reporting is trustworthy now?
It's hard to believe that El Mundo, Spain's "second largest printed, and largest digital daily newspaper" would purposely fake this report, especially when it would seem inevitable that they'd get caught out, but it's also hard to see how they could have made a mistake like this.
The first clip appears to be a report from El Mundo on the Costa Concordia cruise ship disaster. However, look closely at the sequence that begings around the :46 sec mark. That's not the Costa Concordia at all - it's Dublin's Dundrum Town Centre shopping centre last October during the severe flooding! Compare the two below.
I don't speak enough Spanish to know myself, but is it possible that they acknowledge that it's not the Concordia and are simply using the clip to illustrate something? One of you Spanish speakers can clear up that possibility for us.
UPDATE: Spanish speaker Rory just told us in the comments that they voiceover says "meanwhile water begins to flood the lower decks" while showing the Dundrum footage. Outrageous!
