What is it about Ireland and dogs? Anyone who owns a dog in the city knows that Ireland hates dogs. Landlords, shops, parks....
And now, you can't take a dog on any train service, except the Cork line. Dogs are only allowed to travel in the "guards carriage", and now, none of the lines except the line to Cork, have a guards carriage! You can't even bring a small dog in a travel basket! Nothing. No dogs. Full stop. No discussion.

... I've suspected that "ugly duckling" Nicola Roberts was going to turn out to be the most interesting member of Girls Aloud. Once they stopped trying to turn her in to what she's not - a fake-tanned clone of the other four - she started to shine in my book. And of course, I always have a soft spot for the awkward ones, the underdogs. And this picture of the ginger one, makes me more hopeful that I'm right. She looks fantastic here, interesting like a French movie star, like a beauty with a brain. Like someone with a sense of themselves. Like someone who might do something interesting, given the chance. None of the other Girls have ever looked this interesting.

I posted a video by this guy before, but this one, in collaboration with another artist for a festival in Italy, is even wilder. The nerd in me wants to know how long it took them but they don't say.

It really is the video that just keeps on giving. And what is it about it that babies love so much?

I'm voting 'Yes' to Lisbon, but of course there are valid reasons for people to vote 'No', e.g. maybe you don't agree with the European project itself. However, none of the reasons put forth by Cóir on their lying posters are are valid reasons. They should be ashamed of themselves, but of course, fundamentalists don't do shame. Although they do do legal, which is why they put the little question mark at the end of their poster that outrageously suggests/lies that the EU wants to make the minimum wage €1:84.
Can you spot the real Cóir poster?

When she was known as (relatively) plain Stephani Germanotta? Course you do.
She was pretty good too!

Tonight was the second night of my show, A Woman In Progress, and it was much better. The first night had some technical issues to be resolved, and I was not really on it. First night and I ws just trying to get through it. But tonight was very much better. I felt on top of it, able to give a relaxed and more 'on it' performance, and the technical issues were resolved. Much happier.
And tonight was the GALAS (the gay and lesbian awards) which I couldn't attend because of my show, but Shane, Pantibar's amazing manager went along and Pantibar won "Gay Business of the Year", so we now have a new trophy to add to our shelf.
And, if that weren't enough, our GORGEOUS new neon sign was installed yesterday. It's beautiful, and sexy, and fun, but unfortunately the bulbs in one part are too bright (people were getting sun-burned!) so we had to turn it off till we get lower wattage bulbs! Ah well... it'll be fabulous when we do.

Those of you of a certain age, will remember Lauren Harries. In the 70's, as a young boy called James, he became hugely famous on British TV as a creepy child antiques expert (I know that sounds odd, but TV was different then kids!), but sadly, in recent years is more well known as a nutty and troubled transexual. She and her extremely strange family were the subject of a painful documentary a couple of years ago.

The Lauren car-crash continued on 'This Morning" earlier this week, where she appeared on a discussion about a twelve year old transexual who's story has been in the news. Lauren has now been "banned" from the show, after she started to imitate Anne, the Little Britain character.
