Two of you have sent me this recently (thanks Will and Sean) because you know how much I love Eliad Cohen, the Israeli... eh... model?... gogo?.. boy about town?... I'm not really sure what he would describe himself as but he crops up a lot in Israeli gay club promo stuff. And thank goodness because he's gorgeous! Which is why I've featured him on the blog a few times before. Pantibar manager Diarmuid is in Israel at the moment and texted me to brag that he met him and has the pics to prove it. No word yet on what Eliad said about me. He did mention me, right?
However, assuming you are like me and don't speak Hebrew and have no idea what this song is about, in order to enjoy the lovely Eliad, you are going to have to give this video a huge benefit of the doubt and try and ignore the fact that it appears to be making light of battering women, or possibly gays. Now maybe, if I understood the song I'd realise that they are making a clever point, or are undermining something or are in some way making social commentary, but not having the benefit of Hebrew, it does appear on the surface that the gorgeous Eliad is just bashing in the face of a woman/drag/femme gay and it's meant to be amusing.
But, maybe I'm wrong. I hope so! I want the lovely Eliad to be smarter than that.

He hasn't done any in a while, but here's a new one.
(If you don't know "Mom" you are missing out. Start with this, this, and this, and there are more)

Are you attractive on the inside and not a complete monster on the outside? Or vice versa? And are you male - or at least able to act it well enough to fool the untrained eye? Yes? Then maybe you can be Mr Gay Pantibar and represent Pantibar at the Mr Gay Ireland 2012 contest! Yey!
It's all good fun and all in a good cause: the Mr Gay Ireland "pegeant" raises money for HIV/AIDS organisations. And of course Pantibar has a pretty impressive record in the Mr Gay world. Sure didn't Max, Mr Gay Pantibar 2009 go on to win the Ireland tiara and then go on to win Mr Gay World in Canada. Double yey!
So if you are up for a laugh, come along to the Panti Show tomorrow night, Saturday, in Pantibar at 10pm, and seek out the lovely Bláthnaid McGee (she's easy to spot 'cos she's the youngest drag queen in the world) and tell her you want to enter. After that, we'll do the rest.

You may have noticed that things have been a bit slower than usual round here the last few days. That's because Mommy has been especially busy. And I'm especially busy for another couple of days yet, so things will be slow for a while longer. Slow, but not dead.

Last night Make & Do Do theme was "a scandal to bring down a presidential candidate". The winning entry was a model of Martin McGuinness blowing up a bridge that Mary McAleese had built, though most entries focused on Dana and Mary Davis. Dana I suppose because the gays love to parody Dana, and Mary because that red dress has alrady entered the conciousness and is easy to model. But if I was Sean Gallagher, I'd be worried. Not a single entry featured him. This is not a good sign. Especially when he's the only do-able candidate. Well, him and Dana I suppose. Fine looking woman is Dana.

That last one is supposed to be Dana smoking and masturbating. I'm not sure which of the two was meant to be the bigger presidential sin.

... she has the créme de la créme. Nu Wave drag star Miss Pixie Woo (yes, I've decided to start referring to the best of the latest tranche of young drag performers as the Nu Wave. I might even start using an umlaut - Nü Wave - to give it a Germanic look. What do you think? Yeah. Lets's go with the umlaut. Nü Wave. Oh and yes, the collective noun for drag queens is a tranche.) and burlesque sensation Bella A Go Go.
My basement, 10pm, no cover charge.
