Spain has long loved it's drag queens in wild, futuristic outfits stomping around to pumping club tracks, and that Spanish style has reached it's apogee with the annual, massive, televised drag contest on Gran Canaria. And this year's winner is true to form in a spectacular, fabulous, futuristic, and somewhat insane costume (what's with the Pink Panther reference at the beginning? While lip-syncing Crystal Waters' track about a homeless woman!!) tottering around on cripplingly high platform boots. But who cares if she can barely move? That's not the point of this drag style. She looks amazing and can be seen from space - that's the point.

Is this a sign that Louis is creeping slowly towards finally not giving a shit about the gay anymore? He does seem to be slowly tacitly aknowledging it more and more as the years go by - and not before time!
Anyway, regardless, this is a really fun pic. It's part of a series of pics for Heat magazing where celebs dress up as other celebs. And if you compare it to the original shot, it's pretty good too!
Alan Carr also did it, dressing up as the new-look body building Jodie Marsh.

The trailer for Albert Nobbs, the movie in which Glenn Close in man-drag plays an Irish man, has arrived. It's the story of "Albert" as s/he "struggles to survive in late 19th century Ireland, where women aren't encouraged to be independent. Posing as a man so she can work as a butler in Dublin's most posh hotel, Albert (Close) meets a handsome painter and looks to escape the lie she has been living."
Apart from Close, it also stars a veritable who's-who of Irish acting talent (Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Maria Doyle-Kennedy, Bronagh Gallagher, Brenda Fricker, Brendan Gleeson....) as well as Pauline Collins and the beautiful Aaron Johnson who's lovely face will have to make up for what appears to be a terrible Irish accent.
The dykes are going to be all over this one, right ladies?
