Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington dolls! You can help them put the September isuue together. They're handmade one-of-a-kind dolls made by artist Andrew Yang and they're being auctioned on-line for charity.
"I had to special-order Anna's wig and cut it myself to get the bob right," Mr. Yang says. "And Grace's hair was the right color, but it needed a perm."

Simple, effective, and in it's way beautiful ad that will move you, but not in the way you expect.

A 1977 Dolly Parton fashion show, with Dolly doing the commentary and all the modeling.
"This is an outfit that's very casual. This is something that you might wear to a hog killin'."
"This is something that just kinda holds your hair on when the wind is really strong"

Gerry Stiller is one of my favourite comic actors (you probably know him best from his roles on Seinfeld and The King of Queens, and indeed as the father of Ben Stiller) and this clip is very sweet. The New York Daily News takes him to the house in Queens that was used as the exterior of his character's house on Seinfeld to spark memories for a video interview, and while there he rings the bell to see who lives there. Turns out it's owned by a lovely old couple who could have been friend's of his on the show. They invite him in, they chat, she gives him a scarf she knit ("You like the colour?" "I can't believe it. It's iike a dream!") and all in all it's very charming.
The action really starts about 3:30 when they arrive at the house.

These Japanese skirts with printed "see through" backs appeared a while ago but now appear to have become a full-blown trend. Expect to see them in Liffey St boutiques any day now.

(thanks Brian)
