I am a totally nelly when it comes to 'boy racers'. I'll be the one in the passenger seat clutching the dashboard and screaming, "Slow down!!!!". But this short film is gripping, and though I hate to admit it, it's also kind of glamorous.
In 1976, a guy called Claude Lelouche put a camera on the front of his fast car (a Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9, for those of you who are into that kind of thing) and drove at break-neck speed through Paris. It starts fairly easily as he speeds along the city's broad outer roads, but as he drives further into the city, the streets become narrower, and he runs red lights, mounts pavements, swerves to avoid bin lorries, scatters pigeons, reaching speeds of up to 120 mph, until he gets to Sacré Coeur where his girlfriend is waiting for him. The 8 minutes of un-cut, insanity is called C'etait Un Rendez-Vous (It's A Date)

Here's a little French gay film in honour of Bastille Day. It's a bit sweet, a bit diiirty, and very French. It's also probably not work-safe.
I was going to post this one because I found it first, and it has lots of cute French-types in it, but even with subtitles, I haven't a clue whats going on. They all look the same! If you're in to nubile Frenchies, you can watch it and if you have any idea what's going on,let me know. Or don't. Whatever. I've already forgotten what I'm on about. Where am I?
