Love this picture by photographer Michael Nolan - there's so much going on in it. The cop's face, the flower's in the gurrier's hand (yeah, yeah, I know, maybe he's an innocent flower being banged up by a bad Garda), the guy laughing on the right, the young lad stalking by, hands in pockets, slipping away ("Nuthin' to do with me Mate, I'm just passing") the other guy on the left pleading with the other Garda who is taking his mate away too (?). Or is he declaring his love? "I love you Bud!"
But this picture also reminds me why wild horses couldn't drag me to Temple Bar on Paddy's Day, or the so-called Arthur's Day. The fear.

A US photographer responded to ads in Craigslist's "casual encounters" section and asked the posters if he (she?) could phoptograph them in a visual representation of their ad. "Some said yes".
The text of the ads is under the pictures - you may have to scroll down slightly.
Some of the pics are a bit NSFW.
P.S. I wonder why Craigslist never really took off here the way it did in the US. We have it here of course, but it's not really part of the internet culture here the way it is there. I wonder if it's something to do with the very basic look of it? We do seem to want things to be more designed, compared to American visual tastes sometimes. Or perhaps it's just that other single-purpose sites like Done Deal etc got a foothold first?

Every drag queen has done this - taken one side of their makeup off first to see what it looks like. Photographer Leland Bobbé has turned it into a project. Lots more HERE.

This pic of American troops bathing during a lull in fighting on Saipan, 1944, by photographer Peter Stackpole (*snigger*) is hot anyway, but when you notice the homoerotic horseplay on the left it's even hotter. (Or homoerotic mutual hair washing? "Cos they can't be actually... Nah...)

Jonte has been performing on the New York club scene for years, though these days he's often referred to as "Beyonce choreographer Jonte" - most famously he's responsible for the Single Ladies video. If you aren't aware of him, do your self a favour and put his name in to YouTube.
But it was this fabulous pic of him that reminded me of him today.

Given the choice between a great airbrusher and a great photographer, take the great photographer every time.
Daniel Radcliffe isn't a bad looking young man, but he's quirky looking. Definitely not to everyone's taste, and I certainly would never be swooning over him. But has he ever looked as handsome as he does in these pics from a spread in the US magazine Bullett by photographer Mariano Vivanco?
