... this was the amazing, touching, incredible reaction to the passage of marriage equality legislation in New Zealand's parliament last night. Wonderful.

The Constitutional Convention will be meeting this weekend and on Sunday (April 14th) will vote on whether or not to recommend to government to provide for full marriage equality. It's a major milestone on the last leg of the journey to full equality for LGBT couples.
To mark the occasion, LGBT Noise will be staging a "kiss in" outside the Gaiety Theatre at 12 noon on Sunday, and then afterward, Pantibar will be open from 12:30 where Noise, GLEN (Gay & Lesbian Equality Network), and Marriage Equality will be gathering to celebrate and watch live coverage of the vote from the Constitutional Convention. Everyone is invited for what will hopefully be one of those days you'll always remember.
UPDATE: Here's the running order for the convention this weekend. The result of the vote will be at 12:45 on Sunday.
Normal Sunday afternoon disco-diva shenanigans later in the afternoon too of course!

You might remember Tony Abbott from that time a while back when the Australian PM Julia Gillard gave him a verbal smack-down for being a sexist asshole. Well, he's still an asshole. And a weird, childish one at that it would appear.

I don't know how old this clip is, nor what the exact background is, but it's delicious. A group of anti-immigration protestors in the USA get schooled by an angry Native American ("You're all illegal! We didn't invite none of you!) and there ain't much they can say back to him. Notice the size of the protest at the beginning of the clip, and then check how many are left only a minute later when the camera pans back around.
