Hello!

And welcome to my lair. Here at Pantibar we have been serving the LGBTI community and their friends (well, the cute ones anyway) since 2007. If you’re lucky, you might find me propping up the bar, falling off the stage, or making a fool of myself over some gorgeous fella who’ll only break my heart. I never learn! You probably won’t find me pulling pints behind the bar because it ruins my nails so these days I let the friendly and gorgeous bar staff do that. (I’ve made a fool of myself over most of them too, but they’re very sweet and just lock me in my basement dressing room ’til I’ve gotten a hold of myself) Anyway, make yourself at home. We do!

Her Bar

Her Bar

Pantibar opened in November 2007 and has been part of the fabric of the city ever since. Our aim was to combine elements of an old-school community gay bar with a modern, stylish, city-centre bar, and I think we’ve achieved that. We are just a few meters from the river Liffey on Dublin’s “Nort Side”, on much loved Capel Street. The street has always been an eclectic mix and remains so today, crammed with hundreds of small independent stores (everything from hardware stores to sex shops, bespoke tailors to antiques, workwear to rubber stamps, furniture to martial arts…) and restaurants (traditional fish & chips, Asian, Turkish…). There’s not a lot you can’t get on Capel Street, and Pantibar’s landmark illuminated sign stands proudly at the top of it.

Her Staff

Her Staff

I am sometimes accused of hiring staff because they are gorgeous, and I can see why someone might think that, because they are. But they are actually hired because they are friendly and sweet and hard working. Somehow they just seem to get more gorgeous the longer they work here! I think my gorgeousness must rub off on them. And the gym. The gym rubs off on them too clearly.

Her Pale Ale

Her Pale Ale

Pantibar’s manager Shane is a connoisseur of great beer, so he decided to create a craft beer that would capture my fruity, bubbly, golden, curvy, hoppy essence in beer form. And incredibly he pulled it off! Behold my beery essence: Panti’s Pale Ale, locally brewed just outside Dublin by Trouble Brewing. It’s one of our best sellers, and not just because people like to say dirty stuff like, “I swallowed Panti last night”.
